Advisory & Monitoring Committee Meet on 06 December 2004.

The second meeting of the Little Heart Advisory & Monitoring Committee took place on 06th December 2004 under the chairmanship of Justice Mr. B P Jeevan Reddy. Shri Vemuri Radhakrishna, Shri Sreeni Raju, Dr B Soma Raju, Dr P Krishnam Raju, Prof. Arun K Tiwari, Dr M Gopichand, Dr. N Krishna Reddy and Dr K Nageshwara Rao were present.

The Members were informed that 1592 children have so far been registered in little hearts project of which 702 were evaluated,104 surgeries performed,7 cath interventions done and 452 children posted for surgery.

A discussion on various aspects was held and the following decisions were taken:

Project funds should not be used to meet the total cost of the treatment and contributions from the patient family and relief from other sources like CMRF / PMRF, Rotary etc is a must.
In the unfortunate event of mortality, the entire bill amount will be paid by the Little Hearts fund. However, a maximum of Rs 3,00,000/= will be observed in such cases.
