CONCEPT
Medical profession is no more an exclusive prerogative of physicians. It
is a team effort. The quality of each member of the team will reflect on
total quality of care. Though physicians take major decisions, it is the
nurse who actually delivers the care. For this reason, CARE Foundation firmly
believes in laying down a sound foundation to the nurses at the school level.
Fulfilling this mission, CARE Foundation runs a Nursing School.
There is need to alter the current level and scope of training. It
should not only impart the basics of nursing care but also a deeper
understanding of various medical conditions, the art of communication,
the compassion for the sick, the dignity of dying and the skills of
consoling. CARE aims at churning out a competent and complete nurse.
As a change in the methodology of training, more time is spent at the
bedside to teach the art & practice of nursing. A new emphasis is placed on cost-effectiveness and clinical research. As hospital bed
occupancy becomes increasingly important due to critically ill patients, special
emphasis will be given to critical care nursing.
